In their own words
Riders like you
Amateur riders who fit training around work and the rest of life. Three of them, in their own words.
Before, I would often wear myself out completely. Now my form comes exactly when I need it, and I can still work and live normally off the bike. With his help I have won several races while running a company.
Reinis SimanovskisFrom couch potato to almost 5 W/kg, coaching really works!
Jans PavlovsIt matters to me that the plan fits real life: my workload, daily rhythm, how I feel and what's happening in my private life. Dana is very flexible and understands that we can't give training the same time and energy in every phase of life.

Working with Jānis over the last 3 years has fundamentally changed my approach to training and results. Before, I would often wear myself out completely.

Now my form comes exactly when I need it, and I can still work and live normally off the bike. With his help I have won several races while running a company. Jānis's biggest strength is knowing when I need a proper hard session and should really go for it, and when to say "stop, now rest". It sounds simple, but it's hard to get right on your own: either you're soft and rest too much, or you start hammering too much because… well, you're not soft. The result is not just wins, but a sustainable approach where I don't feel wrecked after every training week.
Reinis SimanovskisIt's been almost ten years since I met coach Jānis Mūsiņš and we started working together. We've been through a hell of a lot in that time: wins and countless adventures on the bike, but also crashes, injuries and a couple of "potholes".

Without the coach's support, advice and the right words, getting through those pothole moments would have been much harder, slower and costlier in every way. Discipline, motivation and the drive to get stronger: that's where having the coach at your shoulder and hearing the right words really helps. And most importantly, even after ten years I'm still improving. Not only does it feel that way, the results and of course the numbers show it too. Thank you, coach 💪
Toms AlsbergsI value our collaboration very highly, both professionally and personally. I especially appreciate the approach of using data analysis to find weak points and the areas that need extra focus.

Training and planning are always tied closely to long-term goals that we work towards over months, seasons and years. There is a strong emphasis on the fundamentals: the things you need to develop the sport-specific physical and mental qualities. Looking back on more than ten years together, I can say with confidence that this approach works. The work we have put in over these years has opened completely new emotional horizons for me, ones most people never get to know or even imagine: racing in the world's biggest events, standing on the podium, and winning big and small personal victories, in daily life and on the course. When we started more than ten years ago, climbing the stairs to the second floor was a serious physical challenge for me. Back then I couldn't imagine, or even dream, that purposeful and systematic work would bring me to where I am today, with abilities and experience that seemed out of reach. Thank you for helping me get here!
I've been working with Dana for about a year and a half. I chose her when I realised I was going too easy on myself in training and needed someone to keep the reins a little tighter. :)

I really appreciate that Dana doesn't stop at writing a training plan but looks at the whole person. She asks about my health, digs into my blood test results, keeps track of my health markers and also gives advice on supplements and vitamins.
It matters to me that the plan fits real life: my workload, daily rhythm, how I feel and what's happening in my private life. Dana is very flexible and understands that we can't give training the same time and energy in every phase of life. In winter she plans not only my bike sessions but also my strength training in the gym.
Another thing I really value is our communication. Dana is always reachable on WhatsApp, and I feel free to talk to her about anything to do with how I feel or my health, knowing she won't just listen but will look into it and give professional advice.
For me, this individual approach and genuine interest in every athlete is Dana's greatest strength.

Jans PavlovsJānis and I have been working together for six years now. For more than 324 Mondays he has written out what needs to be done that week. The plan is always clear and doable.

Jānis isn't a "let's go, come on!" kind of person :) but he always keeps the bigger picture in mind and puts overall health first, not chasing results at any cost.
Sergejs BoginskisDana looks at an athlete with the long term in mind, not with a wish for quick results. After our first season together, the results of the work we've put in are already showing, and I can't wait for next year to see what we can achieve by working together.

When I started working with Dana, cycling and following a training plan were nothing new to me. I had got a little stuck in my development and had lost my joy in cycling. Choosing to train with Dana was definitely the right decision: the approach to training changed, there was constant two-way communication (I have to admit I got told off too, it wasn't all singing my praises), and both my training and race data were analysed carefully. Dana looks at an athlete with the long term in mind, not with a wish for quick results. After our first season together, the results of the work we've put in are already showing, and I can't wait for next year to see what we can achieve by working together. I recommend Dana to athletes for whom it matters to work with a knowledgeable coach, not just to get a training plan. Communication, an individual approach and a human touch are what describe Dana best.
Krista PūcītePhoto: marvan.photoGRAFCoach Mūsiņš has proven to me again and again that I can trust him completely with planning my training.

That makes everyday life much easier: I don't have to worry about planning, I have more time for other things, and I can focus only on doing that day's session. When you have that trust, and you're confident there's a reason behind every planned session, doing it becomes easy and motivating too.
Kristaps KazarevskisAfter just under 7 months of training, I can say I'm very happy with how we work together. I like the simple communication and the detailed approach to planning.

I know I'll always get answers to my questions, motivation to train, and a "no bullshit" opinion on which races to pick :D I know I'm getting better and smarter, and I believe I'll reach my goals if I keep following the plan carefully and listening to the advice. And I'll keep enjoying the process!
Raitis KraslovskisOur long-standing collaboration is the foundation of my success. The training process is always professional, structured and adapted to my stage of development. I especially value the coach's expertise, his analytical approach, and his ability to make me believe in my own strength.
Ģirts VēversPhoto: marvan.photoGRAFI'm very happy with my work with Dana Rožlapa! The training is well thought out, individually tailored and focused on results. Dana helps you not only get stronger on the bike, but also train smarter and believe in your own abilities. I definitely recommend her!
Regnārs DreimanisThe training process was very clear and purposeful: the direction was always clearly set, and any problems or mistakes were solved quickly.

I really value the individual approach and the data analysis, which helped me see my progress, and the chance to try different disciplines, from TT to gravel, which kept training varied and interesting. Working together inspired me to get more involved in the cycling scene and to ride with stronger athletes.
Nikolajs BumanisWhat I love most about my coach is the philosophy behind the training: it's not only about performance, but about self-mastery. Through this journey, I've learned that when you understand your body and your training, you don't just win races, you win yourself 🚀
Atis JansonsAlthough the first year has had more downs than ups, I'm looking to the future with optimism. I really value the communication, both the calls and the videos.

Since we started, training feels more purposeful: less guessing, more sessions aimed at specific goals. And maybe most importantly, there's confidence. Confidence that my (our) result matters to Jānis, and confidence that he has the knowledge to get there.
Pēteris GrīviņšReally love how the training process is managed in TrainingPeaks. I just add my thoughts and always get a quick answer on how to proceed, so I'm truly happy with how I'm kept updated. Working with the coach has improved me a lot: a different approach, and race performance going up, guaranteed.
Nauris ZviedrisIf you have a goal, Jānis will have a plan to reach it!
Lāsma OzolaA knowledgeable, engaged coach helps you reach not only measurable results but also cares about your health and how you feel, and adapts training to an amateur's everyday life when needed. I've been lucky to have a coach like that: in Dana's hands I feel safe and understood.
Inese GrišāneThis is the way. It helped me get back into shape efficiently after a break and keep making progress. I especially value the quick communication, the understanding, and the ability to adapt to whatever comes up.
Rinalds SkopānsA personalised training plan, adjusted so I can develop and work on my weak points, based on both physical and biological markers. Up-to-date training methods, on and off the bike.

On top of that, I can get all kinds of information on training topics, such as nutrition, the body's biological processes, training details and explanations of terms.
Egils PeļņiksIt's almost 2 years now with Train2Win. I really like the structured training programme and the attitude towards the rider :) My strength and endurance have definitely gone up, and so has my motivation to keep going!
We've been working together so long that it's become a kind of addiction. There have been better and worse times, but I know what I'm capable of and I keep training. The biggest plus was, and still is, the camps, which have made a trip to Spain an every-year habit.
